HYGGE

Gayle Anderson

Ever since I saw the concept of this during the rush of the holidays, I have been in love with the notion of slow living, savoring every moment and filling your life and home with whatever you deem cozy.  This one little word basically sums up what I have been searching for my entire life. How could I have not known this for so long?  I’ll chalk it up to “my head down and get it done mode” that I have lived for so many years that I can’t remember when I wasn’t driven to accomplish over the top tasks. I’ll admit it, I’m a slow learner, and now I’m in full swing of savoring and enjoying those sweet moments throughout each day, it’s a habit that is here to stay.   Pure bliss is sipping coffee in the mornings next to the roar of the fire and if I don’t have to be anywhere… well even better. As the months roll by, there will be a focus on family & friend gatherings and for once, I think I can step back and just enjoy without feeling the need to try to create an Instagram worthy moment. I’m hoping for impromptu gatherings, slowing down to relish sunsets sipping on a fav beverage, and most of all just being present in the moment.  It’s been a goal that I have never fully grasped until now.

I’m excited that Rod & I will spend a bit more time in my home state of Montana as this is the place that seriously recharges my soul. I can’t explain it, but once we cross the State line, there is a sense of peacefulness that settles in my soul. And when I can wrangle family/friends to come with us, well that will be even better.

So perhaps you are wondering why I am sharing some personal insights with you?  It’s all about connecting with and knowing a bit about a person.  It’s about relationships.   I often get frustrated when follow an event and there is zero info about the promoter.  I like to know who it is who puts on events.

And as I have begun planning out the 2025 S’Wheat Farm Vinique and Holiday Market, it will be a relief to get it finalized.  As always, there is a focus on keeping a good mix of the favorite vendors along with adding in some amazing new vendors.  If I’m honest, there is a lot of back-end planning on my part.  While I have a good system down, I’m pondering what changes I should take a look at and try to implement?  And that dear customer/friend is where you come in, what are your thoughts?  I’d love to know. Drop me a line at swheatfarmlife@gmail.com.

Take care. Xoxo  Gayle
